COVID-19 – January 2022 update
This message is relevant to all consumers, businesses and accredited persons in relation to Trade Measurement.
Trading Standards wish to provide an update because of COVID-19 and the change to the traffic lights (COVID-19 Protection Framework).
All of New Zealand is now at Red.
For accredited persons
Our offices are open, with the Auckland and Christchurch laboratories open and the Wellington laboratory closed.
If you are visiting a Trading Standards site, you will be required to follow Government guidelines, which include wearing a mask, scanning in using the QR code/manually recording your visit and providing evidence of your vaccine pass.
NOTE
Any visit to a Trading Standards site must be prearranged and will be confirmed by our staff in advance.
If you wish to make an enquiry or offsite work request, contact your Client Manager.

Offsite work requests made by an accredited person, which includes face-to-face compliance auditing and surveillance activities, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
