Upon receiving such a compliant, our officers completed inspections that revealed inconsistencies with the net weight stated on prepackaged cured and preserved fish products.
After extensive in-house testing, collaboration with packers / importers and consultation with associations and businesses within the industry, we have produced guidance that contains test procedures that are used by our inspectors, which can also be used by a packer or importer, when checking the net quantity of prepackaged cured or preserved fish products.
