Updated guidance – For business – Weighbridges
Trading Standards have published updated guidance in relation to the trade use of weighbridges.
Trading Standards have updated the weighbridges page to include guidance on weighing vehicles, which now defines the permitted and prohibited methods of weighing vehicles using a weighbridge.
The intent of this change is to help ensure that a weighbridge is used in a way that minimises the risk of short measure, when it is used to determine the weight of the goods as part of a financial transaction.
