Maintaining your accreditation

Accreditation is granted for a period of three years from the issue date of the Letter of Accreditation, unless revoked or voluntarily terminated sooner.

During the three year period of accreditation, the organisation and the individual(s) must satisfy the following:

  • The requirements in the Weights and Measures Act 1987 and the Weights and Measures Regulations 1999;
  • The requirements of Trading Standards, as described in this guide and the Technical Policy documents; and
  • Any conditions of accreditation stated in the Letter of Accreditation and audit report(s) issued by Trading Standards.

As part of the maintenance of your accreditation, the organisation has to complete the following actions:
