TS–013 Testing high capacity weighing instruments to maximum
This policy provides instructions on testing high capacity weighing instruments to the maximum capacity.
The capacity required to be reached when testing weighing instruments is detailed within Table 1 of this policy.
Where an instrument cannot be tested to maximum capacity, the reason must be recorded on the test sheet.

Trading Standards expects instruments to be tested to the approved maximum capacity. This policy is only to be used where there is insufficient substitution load available.
